Overview
Since our establishment in 1920, KINKISHARYO has been manufacturing rolling stock.
Our high quality products, which serve as both means of transportation and as a symbol of society, are specifically designed and customized to match the culture and environment in the various regions.
We entered into overseas markets in the 1940s, and began delivering rolling stock to North America, Middle East and various countries throughout Asia.
In the US market, we have designed and manufactured more than 700 LRVs (Light Rail Vehicles). Our subsidiary, KINKISHARYO International, L.L.C. provides the High-Floor LRVs Type P3010 to Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transit Authority from their factory in California.
Our design is also highly valued internationally. For example, the train for Doha Metro, which started the soft opening of section 1 in 2019, were awarded 3 of international design prizes below. The interior design is inspired by the traditional design and culture in Qatar.
