MHI Receives Order for New Automated People Mover(APM) System at Tampa International Airport in Florida

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd., a member of the Japan Overseas Rolling Stock Association (JORSA), has received an order to construct a new Automated People Mover system at Tampa International Airport in Florida, in the United States.

Mitsubishi will construct approximately 2.3 km of track for the new system and supply a total of 12 train cars. The order follows upon one recently received by the company for Orlando International Airport. As a result of these orders, all major airports in Florida will be served by the company’s APM systems.
