Overview of the Bankgkok Purple Line Maintenance System

◆Introduction
Revenue service of the Purple Line was launched on August 6, 2016 as the fifth of the rapid transit lines designed to solve the chronic traffic congestion in Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand, and the serious environmental pollution caused by it, The official name of the Purple Line is Chalong Ratchaham Line. It was the first time that the Bangkok Metropolitan Rapid Transit (MRT) purchased Japanese rolling stock. It was also the first case to enter into a contract as a total package, including a comprehensive maintenance system and specialized technologies on which the Japanese railway operators take great pride.
