Farewell to an Old-Timer

Type EF81, 2,550kW Bo-Bo-Bo, is a versatile electric locomotive being built since 1968 for dual use(passenger/freight) and at dual voltage(1.5kV DC/ 20kV AC); but, nowadays being classified into an old-timer.
It is given a glorious role to pull a luxurious sleeper train “Twilight Express” running between Osaka and Sapporo; but, its operation to be discontinued in March 2015 when Hokuriku Shinkansen will be inaugurated.
